Thanksgiving Holiday (Orders and Hours)

There's still time! You've got just over 22 hours to get your online order processed; they're due by noon Tuesday (for Wednesday pickups). You'll get to skip the shop lines and go directly to the Cheese House. For those who want to come pick out your own goodies, we're ready! This week is some of the most fun we'll have year-round. It's when we come together as a team in a deeper way, finishing each other's sentences, dancing gracefully and efficiently around each other behind the case, greeting each other in the wee prep hours of the morning and picking cheese out of each other's hair in the exhausting closing moments of the day. It's also when we get to see so many folks who can't make it to us regularly throughout the year, but who choose to make a cheese pit stop this time of year because their holidays wouldn't be complete without it. We love seeing you, and thank you!

Just fyi that we're closed at both locations on Thanksgiving Day and Friday 11/23. You can shop online those days (if you're looking to get a jump-start on your holiday gifts). Just when you're getting too cooped up with the family, we re-open on Saturday at 11am and normal business hours resume. Bring the folks in for a tasting! Here's to being thankful (and especially thinking of those for whom the holidays can be tough; you're not alone).

In The Shop

We have an awesome team already rockin' the holiday season. Swing by this week to taste some of our favorite seasonal cheeses and pick out your own selection for the holidays. Rush Creek Reserve, Black Betty, Rogue River Blue. We have some big name cheeses (of limited availability) in the case right now. And when they're gone, they're gone! We also have Robert Lambert preserves back in our shop. His Raspberry Champagne Jelly replaces our cranberry dressing, and we also put it in our mimosas and on our leftover turkey sandwiches. Another favorite is Robert's Wild Blueberry Lemon Jam. Help us help Robert get back up and running at full speed; your belly will thank you. To pair with that Wild Blueberry Lemon Jam, I'd suggest Langres, which just arrived back in our case this week. This little washed rind beauty from the Champagne region is great with both white bubbles, as well as reds like burgundy. It's a great cheese to bring as a host(ess) gift - and treat yourself while you're at it. See you in the shop... Gobble, gobble, gobble!

If you're sticking around this week, hit up downtown when you're likely to find a parking spot much easier, and come warm your belly with a bowl of our "cheese and mac"... We'll be waiting in the Fareground! (noting hours above)...

Giving Thanks, Giving Back: Service Beyond the Counter

We all know Thanksgiving isn't about the turkey, or the sides, or...dare we say it, the cheese... It's about all that we have to be grateful for, including family, friends, health, and more. We decided early on that the business, as an extension of our lives, would need to be a socially-responsible endeavor that actively contributed to our community. While we are always looking for ways to support our community, as well as ensure that Antonelli's Cheese is sustainable, we have chosen to donate to nonprofits, fundraisers, and good causes when we can. Our mission is to Do Good. Eat Good. We source from folks who make goods in a way that's good for the planet, their animals, their teams, and delicious for us. When you purchase from us, it feeds that cycle of positivity; it also allows us to support our community. Thus far, we've donated our goods, services, and/or time to events that have benefited the following organizations, as well as participated in a number of events with proceeds going to local nonprofits.
