International Picnic Day
The 18th is International Picnic Day! And we unabashedly proclaim that we are the perfect one-stop picnic shop. From sweet to savory to salty, ideal picnics have a lot of little grazing bites - which is my preferred eating style. For those out there who read these emails but have yet to come into the shop, we do sell cheese (surprise!) but we also sell everything we like that goes with it: cured meats, pickles, preserves, olives, crackers, bread, chocolates, and honeys. We've also got a wall full of biodynamic, organic, and/or sustainable wines, craft beers, and ciders, as well as naturally-flavored honey sodas.

You can visit us in the shop and pick and choose your own treats, or you can let us do all the work. Our Dine Al Fresco ($175) and Dine Al Fresco Too ($75) each come with a varying assortment of cheeses, meats (if desired), pickles, nuts, sweets, and crackers, as well as wine or alternative beverage.
They come packaged in either our insulated picnic basket or reusable cooler tote, respectively, that you get to keep once all the treats are enjoyed. Heck, we even sell picnic blankets! All are available to order online - as far in advance as needed, with a minimum of a day's notice.

From one of our first dates, to cheap dates, to "meeting the parents," to travelling internationally, we've always been a big fan of picnics. Whether a romantic surprise with a lover or a casual get-together with friends, picnics provide an ambiance like no other. John and I (and now the kids) are huge fans. Some of our fave spots include along LadyBird Lake trail, Mt. Bonnell, any of our awesome parks... and to that end, I challenge you to look up a new park and visit one you've never been to. Get out of your comfort zone and discover a different neighborhood. Here's a list and interactive map of our Austin Parks. Let us know where your fave picnic destination is! Need some inspiration, here are quick lists from The Austinot, Do512, or Free Fun in Austin. You can also check out the current issue of Austin Monthly for tips on creating the ultimate picnic spread.

So, get out there Austin. Show us how you picnic! And to encourage you, we're doing a GIVEAWAY. You've got til the end of the month to picnic however you do, post it to social media (or email me a pic) with the hashtag #AntonellisPicnic, and we'll draw the winner at the beginning of January. (Note: no purchase necessary; use whatever goodies you have. Just get out and enjoy a new part of Austin! The winner must be present in Austin to pickup your Dine Al Fresco Too Gift Basket.)

Upcoming Events: In Your Words
Here's what someone recently had to say about one of our cheese tasting experiences (and nope, we didn't even ask and we don't know her outside of this event... so kudos to our team!):

"I hosted a private cheese tasting for some of my top referring clients at Antonelli's Cheese House and was completely impressed with everything from start to finish. The decor was beautiful, cheese boards were gorgeous and wine was yummy. Setting up the event was smooth and easy. Jerod made awesome recommendations and was super calm when I made a last minute request for party gifts. He pulled the them together, wrapped them beautifully and had them ready when I arrived. I highly recommend this place for private parties and events and am already wanting to plan another event in the space. How can you go wrong with great cheese, wine and good people?"

Our Cheese Around Town
Congrats to partners Suerte, who was recently named a Food & Wine 2019 Best New Restaurant (among numerous other acclamations). With so many restaurant openings, it's sometimes hard to know which ones to make it to, especially with limited time. Well, Suerte should be on your list. Not only is it operated by some standup dudes, Sam and Fermin, it's also putting out some banging food. And even cooler? They're sourcing cheeses through us. Caldera Espana is in their secret Chips & Salsa combo. And they've got some other creative cheese uses as well. Seriously. Go check 'em out. Then go back.

Stay Cheese-y Austin,
