For all those who like to get their brunch on, we're offering a Sunday tasting - during sunshine hours - this Sunday 9/15 at 12:30pm. Playing off our "Date Nights," this is more of an exploratory eating and tasting experience - without all our class talk. So grab a friend, grab your ticket
(one ticket is good for 2 people), and come share a huge smorgasbord of treats.

We know that Austin traffic can be pretty bad (looking at you, I-35), but at the Cheese Shop, we're all about a good jam...and clearly horrible puns. This week, we're excited to welcome back the punniest of preserves, INNA Jam
! Dafna Kory started making jalapeno jam after an inspiring Thanksgiving treat and spread the love to her friends and neighbors, who quickly became hooked. In their Emeryville kitchen, INNA uses only organic produce that is grown within a 150-mile radius to create their seasonal spreads. What's more, their jams are preservative free and have little added sugar. Kory and her team seek out rare and flavorful varietals of stone fruits, berries, and more to create preserves that capture a uniquely Northern Californian flavor.
We've brought back two familiar favorites from INNA that we're once again delighted to share, their Seascape Strawberry and Blenheim Apricot jams! (And we couldn't choose just one, since John is Team Strawberry and Kendall is Team Apricot... lover's quarrel in the cheese shop.) Delicate and ruby red, Seascape Strawberries are a balanced, bright berry with just enough sweetness and a subtle tang. INNA's transformation of this strawberry is a textural journey, with large chunks that yield with the slightest bite, and a gentle, long finish. This subtle sweetness counterbalances tangy, decadent goat's milk cheeses and can bring out the subtle citrus of a mild cheddar like Beehive's sea salt and honey coated Seahive cheddar.
Considered the "King of Apricots," the Blenheim varietal is a delicate and rare fruit, once grown widely in what is now Silicon Valley. This jam is summer in a jar, reminiscent of Bell's famous summer seasonal Oberon, with a tartness to match. Its sunny, radiant flavor brilliantly cuts through the luxurious, dense paste of triple crème cheeses like its Californian counterpart Mt. Tam, and can also go toe-to-toe with a funky, ripe blue like the newly arrived Surfin' Blue from Quattro Portoni.
