Thanksgiving Cheese Course
Woohoo! We are about to hit our all-time record of preorders of our special Thanksgiving Cheese Course bags. We only have a small amount left, since we specially order the product in for the holiday. Get your online order placed by midnight for pickup the following date. Note, we're closed Thurs & Fri, so place orders by Tuesday midnight for Wednesday pickup. You'll get to skip the line and head straight to the Cheese House for quick in-and-out service.
For everyone who loves selecting their own cheeses, we're giving our same awesome year-round, sampling and cut-to-order service in the Shop. And this year, we have MORE MONGERS THAN EVER! So we'll be able to give you lots of TLC without feeling rushed, and also be super-efficient. Some of our favorite flavors of the season?
  • Apple & Onion Jam (ideal on top of turkey or on a leftovers turkey sandwich)
  • Raspberry Champagne Jelly (no more of that canned cranberry sauce!)
  • William Chris Petanat Sparkling Rose (because of bubbles....)
  • Bourbon Cajeta (spiked caramel sauce to top your apple or pumpkin pie, especially with a scoop of ice cream on the side)

NEW HOLIDAY HOURS! For the first time ever, we're extending our Sunday hours from 11 am to 7 pm. That means we're open now through the end of the year from 11 am to 7 pm Every. Single. Day. Of. The. Week. While this may seem like a small feat, it means more labor, new schedules, different operating procedures, and more. So come to reward our team and visit them starting at 11 am on a Sunday!

RACLETTE NIGHT TONIGHT!
When we announced our first two Raclette Nights a couple of weeks ago, they sold out within 30 minutes. Unfortunately, we had a cancellation for tonight's class. Fortunately for you, here's your chance! (Our next two tastings in December are already sold out too.) Raclette is the name of cheese melted tableside onto your plate. It's $275 for the table. You can come solo or as a group of up to 6 people. Expect a cheese tasting flight, and then a quarter wheel of Raclette to melt yourself onto potatoes, pickles, cured meats, and salad, as well as a complimentary bottle of wine. Some of you spend all year searching for the perfect holiday gifts fitting each of your loved ones. I am not that woman. While I know I'm supposed to take joy in the process, I am not a shopper. But I am an eater/food lover and a supporter of local and an adventurer. And I love gifting experiences - especially food experiences. If you're anything like me and/or just looking for some out of the box ideas, here are a few locally-curated or food experience shopping guides to inspire you.

Austin Dames - This is a local nonprofit of women in the food, beverage, and hospitality industry who are committed to philanthropy and serving their communities. Check out their Holiday Gift Giving Guide, listing various food classes, gifts, and clubs.

We were also thrilled to make the Holiday Gift Guide from Around The World For Food. Look for curated kitchenware items for the cooks and home mixologists, subscription clubs, and food gift baskets.

And one of our favorite local gift guides is put out annually by The Austinot. The Austin Gift Guide not only features local foodie gifts but also swag from local iconic institutions. You'll also find a list of local charities to support and other goods on their site.
