Music Meets Cheese

An Antonelli's Social: Featuring Aaron Stephens and Sponsored by Virtuoso Wines
Our new series, An Antonelli's Social, is the perfect experience for both music and cheese lovers alike! The evening will feature live music by a local Austin artist, accompanied by periodic tastings of five of our favorite cheeses. In this standing cocktail hour event, you'll have the opportunity to try our cheeses in an hors d'oeuvre style tasting with education from our cheesemongers about the history and tasting notes of each cheese. We'll also have out extra nibbles around the room. Between tastings, the evening's featured artist will play two sets. We will be providing complimentary bubbles and wine as part of the evening, courtesy of Virtuoso. Aaron Stephens is a singer/songwriter based in Austin, Texas. He mixes earnest, soulful pop together with his smooth voice and rhythmic guitar playing. The end result is heartfelt and groovy music that covers a variety of topics and emotions.

In The Shop
For a short time only, we are super excited to share with you a delicious treat from the sunbaked Alps in the Schwyz region of Switzerland. Hoch Ybrig is inspired by the classic Swiss cheese, Gruyere, but with a slight twist. This is cheese is made every day during the summer alpage season by a husband and wife duo in their remote chalet (wooden cottage): no phone lines, water provided only by a stream, just simple and peaceful. Once the wheel of cheese has been formed, then Master Affineur ("cheese ager") Rolf Beeler hand selects certain wheels to age to maturity at his facility. Rolf (known in Switzerland as the Pope of Cheese) blesses these wheels with wine white to give them citrus, tangy finish to balance the savory paste. We recommend enjoying this cheese with crisp, clean white wine like a Sauvignon Blanc and a rich, full charcuterie like coppa.
Farm Events 
Spring means kidding season! So let's get out of Austin and enjoy some baby goat cuddles, while we eat cheese (and maybe drink wine) on a picturesque farm under the trees and alongside our fave farmers.
