Holiday Cookies & Cheese Pairing
Holiday Cookies & Cheese ClassFrom Austin:
This Wed 12/2 - Deadline to get tickets is by NOON TUES 12/1 A couple of months ago, we hosted our first ever Cheese & Cookie pairing class - teaming up virtually with the awesome and talented bakers of Abby Jane Bakeshop. They’ve yet to open their Dripping Springs tasting room (any day now!) but are offering up lots of fun collabs and preorders. Since one iconic way many folks celebrate the holiday season of Nov & Dec is through cookies, we thought, “Let’s do it again!” (After all, many of you couldn’t make it to the last class - pictured here - and begged us to host another.) Here’s your chance. Abby Love will be using their signature heritage grains, many sourced from adjoining Barton Springs Mill, to feature innovative spins on classics like rugelach, gingerbread, pumpkin, and fruitcake cookies while also featuring Chinese almond biscuits, Sicilian Cucidati, and Nan Khatai. SEVEN cookies and cheeses. Join us for this delish take on the holidays. Tickets here.
This is offered as one of our Facebook Live with the Antonellis events. You’ll pick up your goodies on Wednesday afternoon, then visit our facebook page at 6pm, click on videos, and find us there. If you want to watch it later, it will be available on our facebook page later in the evening once it’s loaded.
Charitable Cheese Cause
Eat cheese and feel good about it! One day a month, we spotlight a local nonprofit doing great work in our community. We donate 5% of retail and events revenue. Plus, we shout their mission to the world. Thanks for helping us live our mission: #DoGoodEatGood.
Today, Mon 11/30 - Make any online or by phone purchase and a portion of the proceeds go to CASA of Travis County. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates: "CASA of Travis County exists to promote and protect the best interest of children who have been abused or neglected, by training volunteers to advocate for them in courts, in schools and in our community to help them find safe, permanent and loving homes."
And mark your calendars for Mon 12/14, when we’ll be spotlighting nonprofit Green Corn Project! You can get your virtual class tickets now to our regular Cheese 101 that day, and a portion of revenue goes to their mission to help Central Texans in need grow their own organic vegetables.
And in case you missed our “Transparency & Accountability” Mission Report we sent out last week, thank you so much. Because of you, we were able to support 67 unique nonprofit organizations this year! That’s crazy! In a pandemic! When there were moments when we didn’t know if we were going to make it! Yes, that’s a lot of exclamation points. But you deserve to be applauded and appreciated. Thank you for helping us live our mission.
Speaking of eating cheese and feeling good about it, have you checked out our Victory Cheese - Taste of Texas Box?! Whether you order for shipping or curbside pickup locally, we’ll donate a portion of all sales to the Victory Cheese movement. Inspired by the Victory Gardens campaign of WWII and as featured on the Today Show and lauded by celebrity chefs like Marcus Samuelson, Victory Cheese is a volunteer, grass-roots collective of cheese professionals – including cheesemakers, mongers, chefs, and cheese guilds from across the country – coming together to help our struggling industry in creative, unique ways. We’re each telling the story of American artisan makers, moving the cheese to keep our farmers and dairymen/women in operation, and selecting our own designated nonprofit of choice to support. We’ll donate 5% of all Taste of Texas gift box sales to Cheese Culture Coalition, a nonprofit promoting equity and inclusion within the cheese industry by empowering BIPOC communities through education.
(Virtual) Tasting Classes Coming Up
We know folks are tired of it and tired of hearing it, but many of us are buckling down, staying physically distanced, and following advice to isolate. So, our cheese classes are here to get you through the boredom, break up your week a bit, and find a delish way to stay socially connected to others. And in so doing, you’ve kept our biz afloat too. Have you taken all of our classes? And even if you have, did you know that we feature different products and pairings from month to month? Plus, it’s always a different class when you’ve got one of our dozen cheese hosts online. Check out our December schedule. You can search by class topic here or by date here (scroll down and click on the date). Questions? Check out our most frequently asked questions here

Looking for some new delicious treats and eats to support this holiday season...and feel good about it? Like everything else this year, the 2020 holidays are going to be abnormal. Shipping supplies are limited, mail is an issue, sourcing is tricky... In short, nothing is the same as in year’s past. I wouldn’t normally rush you (nor push you!), but the sooner you get your orders in this year, the better we can serve you. (After all, who isn’t ready to put 2020 behind us?! Just kidding! But we appreciate all efforts to help us this holiday season - our usual busy time of the year. We are remaining close to walk-in traffic for the safety of our team and needing support in all other ways. Thank you!)
Our gifts start at $35, we offer special bulk gifting options, and by far the most requested item and our best “experience” is the “Cheese Class in a Box” for $125. We offer FREE SHIPPING in Texas for any gifts over $75 (pretax). Otherwise, shipping is $20 in Texas and $40 outside of Texas anywhere in the continental USA. Another annual fave is our Monthly Cheese Club, available in 3, 6, or 12 month subscriptions
We’ve been creating artisan cheese trays for a decade now. What makes our boards a little different? We craft our trays in our health-inspected kitchen. All items on our trays are made by folks we know and love (ie no bulk, industrially-sourced cheeses from big box stores). We always build our trays the morning they are enjoyed (ie no pre-cut pieces). Sometimes, that means our team shows up at 4am, just to make sure your cheese tastes the best it can. Our trays first and foremost feature the best cheese and meat we can source. Want in on the action? Check out all our cheese tray options here.
Private Virtual Tastings
We’ve teamed up with individuals for special occasions like anniversaries and milestone birthdays, with companies to offer teambuilding appreciation events, and with nonprofits alike to help us all still cope with and celebrate through this pandemic. You need a group of at least 12 for a private party (at $40pp). We’ll arrange all the details - whether you want to purchase in bulk for your guests or have each buy their own plate. Folks can pick up via contactless curbside or we have a shipping box available as well. Private Party details here
