A little more about Tulip Tree and Laura Davenport:

Tulip Tree Creamery

Focused on hand-crafted, European-style specialty cheeses and butter, Tulip Tree Creamery produces a line of fresh and aged pasteurized cows’ milk cheeses. The creamery works with fresh milk from Country Meadows, an Indiana family farm that doesn’t use hormones or antibiotics in the milking herd. The products are sold through select supermarkets, gourmet shops, wine and cheese shops, and butcher shops throughout the U.S., as well as at weekly farmers markets in the Indianapolis area. Gift boxes are available for shipping through online orders. In addition, Tulip Tree Creamery offers hands-on fresh and aged cheese-making classes at the creamery to further an understanding and appreciation for the artisanal process.

Laura Davenport, American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professional®

Born in El Paso, TX, and raised in Indianapolis, IN,  I’m the co-owner of Tulip Tree Creamery and responsible for Sales, Education & HR.  I started working in the cheese in 2004 after 8 years in the healthcare field.  My first American Cheese Society conference was in Burlington, VT in 2007 and that’s when I fell in love with cheese.  An avid traveler and cook of the house, I really enjoy experimenting with new recipes, feeding people and learning about new cheeses.  I’ve been married for 20 years and have a 15 year-old daughter.  I’m so excited to visit family in the Houston, San Antonio & El Paso area while I’m in Texas next month.
