Pickles and Cheese with Casper Fermentables (In Person)
Pickles and cheese; whether on your super fancy charcuterie board or your super simple backyard burger, they've played a part in some of our favorite food memories. Between the opposing crunchy and creamy, the complementing salty and the sour, and sometimes even a little extra excitement of sweet and spice, these two foods have grown up together and been around for thousands of years. They are both a part of a very important process -- food preservation through fermentation! Inspired by Korean and Jewish ancestral traditions, Casper Fermentables makes probiotic kombucha, sourdough, and fermented vegetables here in Austin, Texas. They'll be bringing a little bit of everything for us to pair in this cheese class that will prove to be just as good for your gut as it will for your soul!
This 2 hour experience will include 1.5 hours of structured tasting & education time, and half an hour of social time.
Doors will open 10 minutes prior to the event start time.
