Calendar of Events

We regularly offer cheese tastings and classes in the Cheese House, and we are always looking for opportunities to get involved with the community and co-host events with other great local businesses. We'll continue to strive to bring you the most unique cheese-related events in Austin. The best way to stay abreast of our involvement in local happenings is to sign up for our weekly email newsletter. We will also do our best to regularly update our calendar online, but note that events often sell out faster than we can post them!

Tues, March 3, Taste Off: Old World vs. New World Cheeses (6:30-8:30pm): Cheeses made across the pond have a rich and deep history of production that goes back ages. After thousands of years of perfecting, they're some of the best dang cheeses you can get. That being said, American cheesemakers, often using traditional recipes for inspiration to launch their own, have earned a ton of respect in the world of cheese ... so much so that some were even chosen to be imported into Europe. Come decide for yourself which cheeses take the win - the "Old World" ones of those made here in the "New World." In this class we are excited to feature Alpine Style Cheeses from the Alpine regions in Europe, as well as Alpine Style Cheeses from the US. From Gruyere to Comte to Pleasant Ridge Reserve, Alpine-style cheeses are some of the most requested in our shop.
