What is a Kitchen Operations Lead?

The Kitchen Operations Lead is the operational heartbeat of our tasting rooms. While guests see beautiful cheese boards and smooth service, behind the scenes, you are the one making it all happen.

You lead production and build cheese trays, guide the kitchen team, manage inventory, and keep everything running smoothly across locations.

This is not a traditional restaurant role. Our workflow is driven by order volume, events, and seasonality. Some days are fast and intense, others are lighter and more flexible. Success in this role means staying organized, adaptable, and calm through it all.

What You’ll Do

Build Beautiful Cheese Experiences

  • Prepare and assemble cheese trays and tasting plates with consistency and care
  • Ensure every plate meets our standards for quality and presentation

Lead the Kitchen Team

  • Supervise and support team members during production shifts
  • Create a positive, organized, and efficient work environment
  • Step in to troubleshoot and keep things moving when challenges arise

Keep the Cheese Flowing

  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
  • Manage product usage, freshness, and waste control

Run Smooth, Organized Operations

  • Oversee production schedules and adjust workflows based on demand
  • Coordinate across multiple locations when needed
  • Maintain clear communication with leadership and teammates

Create a Space That Shines

  • Keep kitchen and tasting spaces clean, organized, and guest-ready
  • Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times

Schedule & Compensation

Full-Time Position
You will oversee back-of-house operations for our tasting room kitchens. This role primarily works mornings and afternoons.  Weekend availability is required.

Compensation
Starting hourly rate $17 to $20 per hour, based on experience, plus tips.
