This mashup puts two of the “best things to do in Austin” together into one amazing experience. We’re taking our award-winning cheese tasting events onto the water.
This is an interactive, communal eating experience—on a boat! Can you get any more “Austin” than that?!
Meet us at the Capital Cruises docks 15 minutes before departure for check-in and boarding. Once aboard, guests will be seated right away in the enclosed, air-conditioned lower deck, featuring panoramic windows for beautiful views of Lady Bird Lake. As soon as we set sail, we’ll dive right into the guided tasting experience, featuring 7 artisan cheeses, 7 unique specialty food pairings (like pickled veggies, cured meats, honey, preserves, chocolate, and more), plus additional accompaniments. Complimentary wine pairing flights are available for guests who wish to enjoy it, with nonalcoholic options available upon request when purchasing your ticket.
When the tasting concludes, you’re welcome to relax in your seat or head upstairs to the open-air upper deck to take in the Austin skyline, feel the breeze, and enjoy the view as the cruise continues.

Beverages?
Both bottled and plain sparkling Rambler water are included. We’ll additionally serve complimentary pairing flight of sparkling wine, white wine, and red wine. If you would like to opt out of the wine and instead would like a nonalcoholic beverage, please specify it in our allergens and notes section when purchasing a ticket. Nonalcoholic options include NA beer, an NA espresso martini, and an NA cosmopolitan.
Open Seating & Large Groups
The guided tasting is open seating. Please note that we cannot seat groups larger than 6 at the same table. (Big groups? Check out our FAQs. We suggest booking a private party.)
Photography Release
By purchasing tickets to this event, you are agreeing that Antonelli’s Cheese, LLC may take photographs or video footage of you and your guests and use your likeness in future promotions for this event, without additional compensation. While our goal is not to get individuals, we will be getting some content on the boat, settings, and tastings.

Know Before You Go:

TIMING: Total event time is 2 hours. Please arrive 15 min prior to the event start to check in and for a quick boat loading. Note, the boat takes off at event start time, and we cannot hold up the entire event for late guests. Please plan accordingly.

LOCATION: We partner with Capital Cruises, located at 208 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78704 (located at the Hyatt Regency Austin docks on Lady Bird Lake).

PARKING: The Hyatt Regency’s multi-level garage is the closest and easiest place to park. Parking starts at $25.00 for up to three hours (subject to additional charges past that time) but may vary depending on days of the week with higher traffic or during special events. Guests may drop off passengers at the front door of the hotel, but parking there is limited to five minutes. Other parking in the area varies greatly in price and availability. All parking is run independently of Capital Cruises and Antonelli’s Cheese. Please plan accordingly (ride share or designated driver), if you intend to enjoy the complimentary wine pairings. BOAT TIPS:

We’re on a boat. Wear appropriate shoes for sure footing - and climbing stairs.

The upper deck is open-air and not covered; make sure to wear your sunscreen. (Note that hats must be secured to your head, or they can fly away.)

RAIN OR SHINE: Unless there are dangerous weather conditions, this event is held rain or shine. In the event of rain, we will spend all our time in the lower, enclosed tasting area. We will not be able to offer refunds for inclement weather. If Capital Cruises decides to cancel the event due to extreme weather conditions, the event will be rescheduled and guests will be given credit to rebook any future event with Antonelli’s Cheese. Remember - Austin is sunny; wear sunscreen and proper protection!

ACCESSIBILITY: Guests enter the boat on the lower level, which is enclosed and air conditioned. Our guided tasting will be conducted on this lower level. However, we will enjoy welcome bubbles on the upper deck and invite guests to the upper deck after the 1.5 hour tasting. The upper deck is accessed by stairs only. Please let us know in the notes section at time of booking if your party includes guests who are in wheelchairs or who will not participate in the upper deck portions.
