In the News
We got a mention in Culture Magazine: The Word on Cheese in writer Linni Kral’s recent article on “Weathering the Storm.” Lots of other great cheese folks - from makers, to distributors, to retailers - weighed in on what worked, what didn’t, and challenges along the way. For instance, did you know famed and favorite Jasper Hill Farm had to sell their coveted and prized herd that they’d worked on for years, just to prioritize keeping their team employed, business running, and local support of other dairy folk continuing? Also mentioned is the Victory Cheese movement and resources to help our farmers.
Watch Good Day Austin on Fox 7 this Saturday from 6-7am to hear us chat cheese tastings, pandemic pivots, and what’s coming up. Appreciations to anchor/producer Casey Claiborne for spotlighting local businesses during these challenging times.
Do Good. Eat Good.
Don’t forget; every time you order a Taste of Texas box, we’ll donate a portion of sales to Cheese Culture Coalition supporting BIPOC in the industry - as part of our participation in the Victory Cheese movement. Thanks to those of you who purchased it in December, we’re donating $748 today to the Cheese Culture Coalition. #DoGoodEatGood
Also, huge appreciations to everyone who participated in our annual (512)Brewing Beer & Cheese Pairing. We raised $4440 to donate to Slow Food Austin. Woohoo!
