National Cheese Day!
Tomorrow, June 4th, is National Cheese Day. To celebrate, we're appreciating the King of Cheese - Parmigiano Reggiano. And nothing tastes quite like a fresh-cracked wheel of Parm. To be clear, we're talking about the real deal Parm, not other inspirations or knock-offs. So at 12:30pm (during lunch), visit us in the cheese shop to see our Retail Director and Certified Cheese Professional, Nicholas Kadrlick, expertly crack into this 85-pound wheel of cheese! Our team will give you a tasting, paired with wines courtesy of Serendipity - and we'll even have wine guru Greg McDaniel on hand pouring and talking about the wine pairings. And if you'd like, our team will hand cut a piece for you to adopt and take home with you. Read more about our celebration here. And check out Wine Enthusiast
for more fun facts on Parmigiano Reggiano with great videos and ideal pairings. Cheese, Honey, & Pickles Classes
Brand spanking new classes! Whether you love the sweetness of honey paired with salty cheeses or you love the tangy acidity of pickles paired with cheese, we're adding two all-new classes to our Perfect Pairings Series. First up, we've got two Cheese & Honey Pairing

Then in July, we're moving on to the world of fermented goodness with our Cheese & Pickles Pairings

June Charitable Cheese Cause
This month, we're excited to feature and partner with Urban Roots
, who works to "cultivate leadership skills through food and farming to transform the lives of young people and inspire, engage, and nourish the community." Urban Roots provides today's young leaders with paid opportunities to grow food, learn new skills, and make a difference in their community. Each year, young people, volunteers, and community leaders unite on their farm to grow over 25,000 pounds of fresh foods. Equally impressive, they donate 40% of it to 12 hunger relief agencies across Austin.
in supporting one of our favorite local organizations. While class tickets are already sold out for our beneficiary tasting, you can visit the shop on 6/24 or make an online purchase that day and 5% of revenue will go to Urban Roots.
