Tomorrow Night on Wed 7/8! Deadline to purchase tix midnight tonight. Okay, since the beginning of the pandemic when we launched our virtual tastings, John has wanted to do a Honey & Cheese Pairing. We’ve done them in the past on a smaller scale. And when in person, it’s easy. But! For our Virtual Tastings, we have to plate ooey, sticky honey about 700 times. So we just couldn’t figure it out. Until now! You’re in for a treat (and John is thrilled). We’ll be tasting single-varietal honeys, candied honey, comb honey (pictured right by Two Hives Honey), and more - while pairing seven different honeys with seven cheeses and regaling you with the stories behind them and fun honey facts. We honestly couldn’t ask for better customers. Many of you have reached out during the pandemic just to keep us in business, often saying, “What do you need us to buy right now?” This was mostly a challenge at the beginning of the pandemic, when we lost 95% of our wholesale business overnight with the closures of restaurants - and then had to sit on and move hundreds of pounds of cheese we’d ordered for them. Then, we sort of caught up and got more stable with inventory levels. And now, with the wonky opening/closing/erratic schedules of restaurants (hang in there friends!), we’re sitting on a lot of cheese again. So - help us both out - the restaurants and us, by buying up any of these cheeses that we normally source for restaurants. None are past date, and they’re all looking for good homes and happy bellies. We just have a lot of them! Some purchasing notes: We stock our case daily, so it it’s list as “out of stock,” it just means we haven’t gotten it back in our cheese case yet. Also, while everything is priced per pound (or by the each if noted), you can purchase any amount by altering the weight. Thank you! (And these are all great cooking/recipe cheeses. Cheese + Music Happy Hour - NEW OFFERING
Thu, July 23 (6pm) We’re always looking for fun collaborations across sectors that support various folks. That’s why, Events Director Anna came up with the idea last fall to offer our Cheese + Music evenings. Of course, those were in our Cheese House - munching on a flight of cheese while listening to a local musician play a set. Well, we’re making it virtual too. We’re grateful to the talented Aaron Stephens for partnering with us again. Aaron Stephens is a singer/songwriter based in Austin, Texas. He mixes earnest, soulful pop together with his smooth voice and rhythmic guitar playing. The end result is heartfelt and groovy music that covers a variety of topics and emotions. So how does it work? Purchase your $30 ticket today. On the day of the event, pick up your cheese flight via contactless curbside (or have it delivered), and tune in at happy hour time of 6pm. This 45-minute event will definitely set you up for a perfect evening. Note: This is not a full guided tasting class. Instead, our cheese host will sporadically talk you through a flight of 4 cheeses and 4 food pairings, interspersed with a live set from Aaron Stephens. Info More info and tickets here.
